Saw Palmetto Male Toner® contains herbs traditionally used to help maintain healthy prostate function including althea root, nettle root, saw palmetto fruit and uva ursi leaf. In combination these herbs support prostate gland health by increasing urinary flow and volume, while reducing residual urine. The British Herbal Pharmacopoeia lists the action of nettle root as prostatic. Nettle and saw palmetto are considered to be mutually enhancing and are often combined in prostate health formulas. Nettle and saw palmetto are supported in this formula by uva ursi, a urinary antiseptic, althea root, a urinary demulcent, and by ginger, which acts to increase absorption rates thereby reinforcing the actions of the primary herbs in the formula.
