ORGANIC
HOJICHA (Previous name: ROASTED GREEN TEA)
Japanese Roasted Green Tea
Organic
Roasted Green Tea
“Bancha” is the most common Japanese green tea varietal available in the
United States and is often served in Asian restaurants. Roasted Bancha is also
called Hojicha (all Japanese teas have the suffix “cha,” which means tea –
Sen-cha, Kuki-cha, Mat-cha) and is preferred by many veteran green tea
connoisseurs because the light roasting of the leaves imparts a rich and nutty
flavor to the tea. Japanese green teas taste distinctively different than green
teas grown in other parts of the world. Drinking Organic
Roasted Green Tea is especially appropriate after meals because it has a
refreshing effect on the palate. Followers of macrobiotic dietary principles
enjoy it as an alkalizing beverage.
Ingredients:
Organic roasted green tea leaf (Camellia
sinensis).**
