Chai Spice Tea -
Stash Tea
Stash Chai Spice Some of the finest black teas in the world come from India,
the world's leading producer of tea. Included in these teas are the robust "malty"
Assams, fine distinctive Darjeelings and well - balanced Nilgiris. However,
most tea consumed in India is not enjoyed for its fine, subtle flavor
nuances, but instead is blended with sweet and pungent spices to make the
popular beverage, "Chai".
Indian Chai is enjoyed in cities and the smallest of
villages, and usually is offered to every visitor to a home. In Northern
India, where Chai is the beverage of choice, tiny tea stalls line the
streets where all day long "chaiwallas" (tea vendors) brew and serve tea.
$3.99 for 50 grams. Suggested Retail $4.49
Sale Price $3.60

bouquet, hint of muscat, and mellow character which Darjeeling is known for,
with a distinctive green tea flavor. This tea is best enjoyed early in the
afternoon and never with milk or sugar.

Kopili
Assam -
Stash Tea
The Kopili Tea Estate is named for the sacred Kopili river which
meanders through the hills of Assam and empties into the mighty Brahmaputra
in the lower plains. Located in Umrangshu, the estate covers 3,000 acres at
an elevation of 2,000 feet above sea level. This is comparable to the mid
elevation estates of Darjeeling.
Kopili is the only tea estate in Assam located at this elevation. The
other Assam gardens are at a maximum elevation of 150 to 200 feet, with some
even below sea level. Kopili is surrounded by dense, lush evergreen rain
forests. Kopili teas benefit from the close proximity of the hot springs at
Garampani. The Kopili Estate is owned by the same family who owns the
well-known Ambootia™ Estate in Darjeeling.
