COLD CARE P.M.®

Herbal Nasal Decongestant

Indications for Use: Cold Care P.M.® is a comforting nighttime herbal tea indicated for temporary relief from stuffy nose and sinus passages. The active ingredient, menthol from peppermint leaf, helps decongest sinus passages and restores freer breathing through the nose. Cold Care P.M.® is formulated to act as a nighttime nasal decongestant based on the traditional use of peppermint leaf to temporarily relieve nasal congestion due to the common cold. The herbs in this blend have a long history of human use stemming from traditional Greco-European herbal medicine. Today, peppermint is a widely used ingredient in food and medicine. Cold Care P.M.’s nasal decongestant action is attributed to its natural menthol content. Peppermint leaf contains volatile oils composed primarily of menthol, its main active constituent. Menthol acts as a secretolytic, breaking down secretions in the bronchi, and as a decongestant in the nose. Oral ingestion and inhalation of menthol helps to relieve nasal and chest congestion.

Contents: Active Ingredient: Menthol: 5mg. per cup as it naturally occurs in peppermint leaf (Mentha x piperita). Other herbal ingredients: Licorice root, chamomile flower, yarrow flower, tilia star flower, passion flower, eucalyptus leaf, elder flower.

Directions for use: Pour 8 oz. of boiling water over one tea bag and steep, covered, for 10-15 minutes. In the evening, at the first signs of a cold’s discomfort, drink 1-2 cups and then 1 cup every 3 hours until bedtime, not to exceed 8 cups in 24 hours. For maximum effect sip your tea slowly while inhaling the mentholated vapors of relief.

Warning: As with any drug, if you are pregnant or nursing a baby seek the advice of a health professional before using this product. If symptoms do not improve within seven days, or are accompanied by fever, consult a doctor before continuing use. In case of accidental overdose seek professional assistance or contact a poison control center immediately. Keep this and all medicines out of the reach of children.
